Deep retrofit to a family home, where extensive renovation was needed. A new rear wall and flat roof was installed along with woodfibre internal insulation to the walls and roof and phenolic insulation on the ground floor. In addition the home was made airtight and MVHR installed. Some windows were retained to the front of the house and new triple glazing was added to the rear along with photovoltaics on the roof, linked to a battery.

It is estimated that space heating demand has reduced from a huge 230 kWh/m2/year to 35 kWh/m2/year, a massive 85%.
